Frame Validation is the process of checking and certifying 3D eyeglass models, carried out using various tools, which allows their status to be monitored from creation to final publication. This process ensures the quality, consistency, and correct visualization of the models, including Augmented Reality (AR) systems and Virtual Try-On (VTO).

Frame Validation Pages Structure

This section illustrates the organization of Frame Validation and its various pages. Each page serves a specific function within the validation process, allowing modelers and supervisors to monitor the status of 3D models, check variant information, verify measurements and materials, and manage uploaded 3D files. The modular structure of Frame Validation ensures a clear and easily traceable workflow, facilitating interaction between the different stages of review and approval.

The Frame Validation structure is organized into several pages, each serving a specific function:

  • Catalogues Orders Page: displays the various sections of brand catalogs side by side, making it easier to select the desired catalog.

  • BRAND_SEASON_YEAR Page: shows a complete list of all eyewear included in that specific catalog.

  • Variant MODEL_CODE_001 Details Page: contains a list of all SKUs associated with a particular eyewear model. From this page, the placement of the Virtual Try-On (VTO) can also be adjusted.

  • Variant MODEL_CODE_001_FRAME_COLOR Details Page: for a specific SKU, this page includes multiple sections detailing the specifications of the variant. It features upload slots, a window for viewing the 3D model and images, and the commands Customize Reset, and Virtual Try-On.

Workflow Step by Step

  1. Assigning Models
Distribution of models and SKUs by the Modeller Supervisor.

  2. Models Validation
Main states: Incomplete → Modelist Rev. → Spaarkly Rev. → Client Rev. → In Publication → Published.

  3. Notification
Notification system for Supervisor and Modeler (Assigned, Validated, Declined).

  4. Models Uploading
Upload of FULL and CUT GLB versions, plus entry of color values.

  5. VTO Placement
Alignment of the cut model for correct Virtual Try-On.

  6. USDZ Conversion
Conversion from GLB to USDZ for compatibility with Apple AR devices.

  7. Material Presets
Application and management of material presets, especially for lenses.
