Maintenance and Cleaning

Screen Cleaning

The touchscreen is the primary interaction surface and should be kept clean:

  • Use a soft, dry microfibre cloth to wipe the screen.
  • For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild screen-safe cleaning solution.
  • Do not spray liquids directly on the screen — always apply to the cloth first.
  • Do not use abrasive cloths, paper towels, solvents, ammonia-based cleaners, or alcohol-based products.
tip

Clean the screen at least once daily, preferably before store opening, to ensure optimal touch responsiveness and image quality.

Camera Cleaning

The PTZ camera lens should be kept clear for optimal virtual try-on and photo quality:

  • Gently wipe the camera lens with a soft, dry lens cloth.
  • Do not press hard on the lens or use abrasive materials.
  • Check periodically for dust or fingerprints on the lens.

Practices to Avoid

To preserve the Mirror and ensure safe operation:

  • Do not expose the Mirror outdoors or to direct weather conditions.
  • Do not place in humid environments or near water sources.
  • Do not expose to extreme temperatures — keep within 10°C–35°C.
  • Do not cover the air vents on the back of the device.
  • Do not place heavy objects on or against the screen.
  • Do not attempt to open, disassemble, or modify any hardware component.
  • Do not use the device with wet hands or allow liquids to enter the device.

Periodic Checks

Carry out the following checks regularly:

  • Screen: clean and responsive to touch.
  • Camera: lens clean, properly positioned on the mount.
  • Cables: all connections (power, camera USB) secure and undamaged.
  • Ventilation: air vents on the back are unobstructed.
  • Audio: audio prompts are audible and clear.
  • Stability: the Mirror is firmly positioned and not leaning or wobbling.
