WiFi Setup
The ARShades Mirror requires an internet connection for remote support, software updates, catalogue synchronisation, and the QR code image sharing feature.
Accessing Network Settings
During the initial activation session, the Spaarkly team will guide you through the WiFi setup remotely. If you need to change the WiFi network later:
- Contact the Spaarkly support team to request a network change.
- The team will guide you through the process via a remote session or provide step-by-step instructions.
note
The Mirror’s network settings are managed to ensure a secure and stable connection. Direct access to the Android system settings is restricted.
Connecting to the Store WiFi Network
When connecting the Mirror to your store’s WiFi:
- Use a standard WPA2-secured WiFi network — the Mirror does not support captive portals (networks requiring a browser login, common in shopping centres).
- Ensure the network provides a stable, reliable connection.
- If WiFi is unreliable in your store, consider using an Ethernet cable for a more stable connection.
Verifying the Connection
After connecting, verify that:
- The Mirror can reach the internet — the Spaarkly team will confirm this during the activation session.
- The QR code sharing feature works correctly — try generating a QR code at the end of a test session.
- Remote support is functional — the Spaarkly team will verify they can connect to the device.
