WiFi Setup

The ARShades Mirror Showroom is designed to work autonomously using locally stored content. An internet connection is not required for the standard user experience to function.

However, internet connectivity is necessary in specific cases and strongly recommended for optimal performance.

No Internet

Without an internet connection, customers cannot receive photos via QR code (Shoot & Share). The virtual try-on experience will still work, but photo sharing will be unavailable.

When Is Internet Required?

A network connection is necessary for:

  • Remote support and technical assistance from the Spaarkly team
  • Software updates — corrective or feature updates
  • Catalogue synchronisation with ARShades Studio (catalogues, assets, configurations)
  • Functions requiring external services — e.g. QR code generation and image delivery (Shoot & Share)

A stable connection is also strongly recommended for:

  • Remote device monitoring and early detection of anomalies
  • Overall system performance optimisation
  • Advanced features such as photo sharing and advanced analytics

Connectivity Options

The Mirror supports the following connection types:

  • Dual-band WiFi
  • Ethernet (wired connection)
  • Bluetooth 5.0

Network configuration is typically handled during the initial activation session with the Spaarkly team. If you need to change the WiFi network later, submit a support request for assistance.

Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for ensuring a suitable internet connection is available at each point of sale, at a minimum for the cases listed above as necessary. The customer must also cooperate promptly with Spaarkly when lack of connectivity prevents support, updates, or synchronisation activities.

warning

Spaarkly is not responsible for malfunctions, delays, or feature limitations caused by absent, unstable, or inadequate network connectivity provided by the customer or third-party ISPs. In such cases, the SLA response times may be affected.
