Analytics for VTO services

The VTO Services Analytics section provides a clear and interactive way to explore how users engage with Virtual Try-On (VTO) experiences. It is designed for client users who need to measure the performance of catalogues, products, and even single variants.

Purpose of VTO Services Analytics

This section helps clients to:

  • Measure how many users access Virtual Try-On sessions.
  • Track the number of sessions and unique users in different periods.
  • Identify which products and variants are tried on most frequently.
  • Compare performance across catalogues or within a single catalogue.
  • Understand engagement trends to improve catalogue organisation and marketing campaigns.

How to Access the Section

  • From the left-hand menu, select Analytics > VTO Services.
  • The page opens with aggregated data for all catalogues you have access to.
  • Access is available only to Admins (all catalogues) and Members (assigned catalogues). Validators cannot access this section.

Available Metrics

The metrics in the VTO Services Analytics are calculated with specific rules to ensure that data reflects actual user engagement and avoids distortions.

MetricHow it is calculatedWhat it means for you
SessionsOnly sessions lasting 4 seconds or more are counted. Very short interactions are excluded.Shows the total number of valid VTO sessions started.
UsersEach device/browser is counted once per day (identified via cookie).Number of distinct people/devices who used VTO in the selected period.
New UsersA user is considered new the first time a device starts a VTO session.Indicates how many first-time visitors tried VTO.
Views (Visualisations)Each colour variant tried counts as one view. Example: 1 model tried in 3 colours = 3 views.Highlights the level of exploration of products and variants.
Average Session DurationFor each session, the time spent per product is added up (max 450s per product to avoid bias). Then total seconds are divided by the number of sessions. The average time users actively engage with VTO per session.
Average Engagement per UserTotal engagement time divided by unique users.Shows how long on average each user interacts with VTO.
Average Sessions per UserTotal sessions divided by unique users. How frequently an average user comes back and starts a new session.
Product StatisticsFor each product: time spent (≤450s per session), views, sessions, unique users, new users, averages per session and per user.Identifies which products generate the most interest.
Variant StatisticsSame as for products, but at SKU level (colour/size). Variants with less than 4s are excluded.Helps to see which variants (e.g. specific colours) perform best.
Device/Platform DistributionDevice type detected (iOS/Android for apps, browser and mobile/desktop for web). Sessions and users are counted by type.Understands on which devices and platforms people use VTO the most.

How to Use Filters

  • Click the Open Filter button to display the filter panel.
  • You can filter by catalogues, products, and variants.
  • It is possible to select more than one catalogue, product or variant at the same time.
  • After making a selection, always click Apply Filter to update the data.
  • To change filters safely, first reset filters and then apply the new selection.
  • When a product is selected, all graphs and tables show only its aggregated data (all variants). When a variant is selected, the data reflects only that specific SKU.

Reports

  • You can export detailed reports by clicking the Download Report button.
  • Reports are generated based on the active filters and date range.
  • Formats available: CSV or Excel.
  • Reports include totals for sessions and users, trends, and breakdowns per catalogue, product, and variant.
  • For an overview across all catalogues, remember to reset filters before exporting.

Reading the Graphs and Tables

  • Trend charts show how Users and Sessions evolve over time. They update automatically when filters are applied.
  • Ranking tables (Products Performance, Variants Performance) help compare engagement between items.
  • Distribution charts show which devices or platforms are most used.
  • When you select a product or variant, all graphs and tables display only the trends for that product (aggregated variants) or that specific variant. To select another product or return to all data, always reset the filter first.

Examples of Use

  • After launching a new campaign, apply filters to see only the catalogue linked to that campaign and monitor how usage evolves over the week.
  • To evaluate the popularity of a new model, filter by product and check whether one variant (colour/size) is tried more than others.
  • For management reporting, reset filters and download a global report to share with stakeholders.
