Monitor Production Progress

Production progress monitoring lets you track where your ordered frames are in the creation pipeline. You can see real-time updates on production status, estimated timelines, and identify any potential delays.

Understanding Production States

Each variant in production moves through these states:

State	Meaning	What to Expect
Pending Analysis	Order received; team analyzing SKUs	1-2 business days
Analysis Complete	Feasibility confirmed; production can begin	Next phase starts
Processing Addition	Adding variant to production queue	1-2 business days
Batch Created	Variant assigned to production batch	Production starts
Working 3D Assets	3D modeling in progress	2-5 business days (varies)
Freezing Time	Final model review and optimization	1-2 business days
Quote Requested	Production estimated; awaiting quote approval	Awaiting your confirmation
Quote Sent	Quotation delivered; awaiting your response	You accept/reject
Quote Accepted	You've approved the quote; production starts	Production begins
Quote Rejected	You declined; production paused	Need to reorder or revise
Completed	3D model ready for validation	Model appears in Frame Validation
Cancelled	Order cancelled by request	Variants won't be created

Dashboard Overview

The Frame Validation dashboard provides a high-level view:

• Total Orders - Number of orders you've placed
• In Progress - Variants currently being produced
• Ready for Review - Completed variants awaiting validation
• Validated - Variants you've approved
• On Hold - Variants awaiting quote approval or decision

Batch-Level Progress

For each batch, you can see:

1. Overall Progress Bar - Percentage of variants completed
2. Timeline - Expected completion date for the batch
3. Status Breakdown:
   • How many variants are in production
   • How many are ready for review
   • How many have been validated
4. Alerts - Any issues or delays

  • 45% Complete (45/100 variants)
  • Expected Completion: Dec 15, 2024
  • Status:
    • In Production: 30 variants
    • Ready for Review: 15 variants
    • Validated: 45 variants
    • ⚠️ Alert: 10 variants requiring quote approval

Product-Level Progress

For each product, you see:

• Number of variants total
• How many are complete
• How many are awaiting review
• Quality issues (if any)

Variant-Level Details

For each individual variant, monitor:

• Current State - Exact step in the workflow
• Time in Current State - How long it's been processing
• Assigned To - Which team member/department
• Next Steps - What happens next
• Estimated Completion - When it should be ready

Tracking Production Issues

Alert Indicators

The system alerts you to:

• Delays - Variants taking longer than expected
• Errors - Technical issues that need attention
• Blocked Items - Variants waiting for your action (e.g., quote approval)
• Quality Flags - Potential issues identified during production

Responding to Alerts

If an alert appears:

1. Click the alert to see details
2. Understand the issue
3. Take recommended action:
   • For Delays: Contact support for update
   • For Blocked Items: Approve quote or make decision
   • For Errors: Contact support to resolve

Estimated Timelines

Production timelines vary based on:

• Complexity - Detailed geometries take longer
• Brand - Some brands have faster pipelines
• Batch Size - Larger batches may have slight delays
• Current Workload - High demand may extend timelines
• Customization - Special requests add time

Typical Timeline:

• Order Submitted → Quote: 1-2 days
• Quote Approval → Production Start: Immediate
• Production → Completion: 3-7 days
• Total: 5-10 business days

Monitoring Over Time

Daily Check-In

1. From Frame Validation, review batches
2. Check for any new alerts
3. Note progress on in-flight orders
4. Validate any newly completed variants

Weekly Review

1. Review overall progress across all batches
2. Identify any at-risk orders
3. Plan validation work
4. Communicate progress to team

Download Progress Reports

Generate detailed reports:

1. Select a batch
2. Click Download Report
3. Choose report type:
   • Summary Report - Overview of batch progress
   • Detailed Report - Individual variant status
   • Timeline Report - Production schedule
4. Select format (CSV or Excel)
5. Use for:
   • Team communication
   • Stakeholder updates
   • Archive and record-keeping

Communication with Production Team

Getting Updates

If production seems slow:

1. Check the batch details for current state
2. View estimated timeline
3. If significantly delayed, contact support
4. Provide batch name and order ID

Providing Feedback

To help improve future orders:

1. Document any production issues
2. Note timing discrepancies
3. Share feedback through support ticket

Integration with Catalogues

Once variants reach "Completed" state:

1. They appear in Frame Validation ready for review
2. After validation, they're available in My Catalogues
3. You can add validated variants to your collections
4. Publish catalogues to make them live

• Set up browser notifications for alerts
• Review progress reports weekly

Plan Validation Work

• As soon as items are "Ready for Review," schedule validation
• Don't wait until all items are done
