The ARShades Library is the central repository of all eyewear 3D assets available within ARShades Studio. It is the starting point for building catalogues: you search it to find out whether a model already exists as a 3D asset, you add products from it to your catalogues, and you order the creation of new assets when a model is missing.

The Library is a section of its own, reachable from the left-hand menu — not a panel inside a catalogue. The target catalogue is chosen later, inside the add dialog, so you can start from the Library at any moment without opening a catalogue first.

What You Can Do Here​

  • Search and filter products — twelve filters plus a free-text search across model names, variant names, SKU, EAN and UPC codes. See Search and Filter Products.
  • Inspect a product and its variants — expand a row to list the published variants inline, or open the product detail page for full metadata, images and 3D previews. See Product Detail.
  • Search SKUs from a list — upload a file of product codes and check in bulk which ones already exist as 3D assets, which can be added to a catalogue, and which have to be ordered. See Search SKUs from a List.
  • Add a product to a catalogue — the Add To Catalog button on each row starts the add flow without leaving the Library.
  • Order new 3D assets — request the creation of a model that is not in the Library yet. See Order Products.

Benefits​

  • Centralisation: A single, always-up-to-date repository of eyewear 3D assets.
  • Efficiency: Check whether an asset already exists before ordering it, and find it without re-uploading product data.
  • Consistency: The same 3D assets are used across catalogues, Virtual Try-On (VTO) services and AR viewers.

What the Library Contains​

The Library lists published assets. A product appears once, as a single row, with a count of its variants; expanding the row shows the individual variants, each with its SKU, UPC, size, frame colour and lens colour. Products and variants published in the last 30 days are marked with a “new” badge, and can be isolated with the Show new assets toggle.

User Access​

Every account in your organisation — Admin and Member alike — sees the same Library: the full set of published assets, with no restriction by team or by subscription. Searching, filtering, expanding variants, opening a product detail, adding to a catalogue and ordering are available to all three.

Where scope does apply

The Library itself is not scoped by role, but what you do from it is. Adding products to a catalogue and ordering new assets act on your organisation's catalogues and subscription plan, and consume its limits — so the permissions that matter are the ones on the catalogue and on the subscription, not on the Library. A small number of ARShades operational accounts, used internally to produce and validate the 3D models, browse the Library in read-only mode and cannot add or order.
