ARShades Library
The ARShades Library is your comprehensive product database containing thousands of products and variants. This guide shows you how to discover products and add them to your catalogues.
Accessing ARShades Library
- Click "ARShades Library" in the left sidebar navigation
- The library page loads showing available products
- Browse, search, or filter to find what you need
Understanding the Catalog Structure
Products vs Variants
Products:
- Main items in the library (e.g., "CARRERA 3056/S")
- Can have multiple variants
Variants:
- Specific versions of a product with different attributes
- Defined by: Frame Color, Lenses Color, Size, SKU, UPC, EAN
- Example: Same product in different colors and sizes
Browsing & Searching
Using Filters
Available filters help you narrow down products:
- Brand - Manufacturer or brand
- Line - Collection or series
- Type - Frame style or model type
- Gender - Intended wearer category
- Size - Frame sizes
- Age - Age range category
Search Products
Find specific products quickly:
- Enter text in the Search field
- Type product name, SKU, EAN, or variant name
- Results update as you type
Show New Assets
Filter to display only recently added products:
- Toggle "Show new assets" ON
- Displays only recently added products
- Toggle OFF to see all products again
Apply & Reset Filters
- Click "Apply Filters" to confirm your selections
- Click "Reset Filters" to clear all selections and display full catalog
Adding Products to Your Catalogue
There are two ways to add products to your catalogues:
Method 1: Add To Catalog (Individual Selection)
Use this method when you want to manually select specific variants.
Step 1: Find and Select Products
- Browse or search for products in the library
- Click the "Add To Catalog" button next to the product
- The "Adding To Catalogue" modal opens
Step 2: Select Variants
In the modal, you'll see:
- Available Variants table with all variants of the selected product
- Columns: Image, Product Name, SKU, UPC, Frame Color, Lenses Color, In my catalogue(s), Size
- Select one or multiple variants by checking their checkboxes
Step 3: Select Target Catalogue
- In the next step, select which catalogue you want to add these variants to
- You'll only see catalogues you have access to
- Select your desired catalogue
Step 4: Review & Confirm
- Review your selections
- Confirm the variants and catalogue assignment
- Click to complete the addition
Method 2: Search SKUs from a List (Bulk Upload)
Use this method when you have a list of product codes to add quickly.
Step 1: Access Bulk Upload
- Click "Search SKUs from a List" button in the header
- The "Search SKUs from a List" modal opens
Step 2: Upload File

Prepare a CSV or Excel file with product codes

Required columns:
- SKU Code: Product SKU identifier
- EAN Code: European Article Number (optional)
- UPC Code: Universal Product Code (optional)
- Priority: High, Medium, or Low (optional)

Maximum 1000 rows per file

Click or drag your file to upload area

Click "Process File" to analyze the products
Step 3: Review Summary
- System processes your file
- Shows a summary of found and unavailable products
- Displays any errors or issues
Step 4: Select & Add to Catalogue
- Review the available products from your file
- Select which ones you want to add
- Choose your target catalogue
- Confirm and complete the addition

Tips & Best Practices
Efficient Selection
- Use filters first - Narrow down by brand, line, or other attributes
- Search for specific products - Use SKU if you know the exact code
- Multi-select variants - Select multiple variants at once in Method 1
- Bulk upload - Use Method 2 if you have many products to add
Organization
- Add descriptive notes when possible
- Group related variants in the same catalogue when appropriate
- Use appropriate catalogues for product organization
Quality Control
- Double-check variant selections before confirming
- Verify you're adding to the correct catalogue
- Review file formatting before uploading (Method 2)

Troubleshooting
Cannot Find Product
Possible causes:
- Product is filtered out
- Product doesn't exist in the library
- Spelling variation in search
Solution:
- Clear filters and search broadly
- Try different keywords or SKU
- Contact support if product should exist
Variant Not Showing
Possible causes:
- Variant is filtered by applied filters
- Variant doesn't exist
Solution:
- Clear filters to see all variants
- Check filter settings
- Contact support if variant is missing
Cannot See Add To Catalog Button
Possible causes:
- User role doesn't have permission
- Browser compatibility issue
Solution:
- Check your user role
- Try different browser or clear cache
- Contact support
File Upload Error
Possible causes:
- File format not supported (not CSV or Excel)
- File exceeds 1000 rows
- Invalid column structure
Solution:
- Use CSV or XLSX format
- Split large files into multiple uploads
- Check required columns: SKU Code, EAN Code, UPC Code
- Download example file to check format
