Add Product or Variant
The Add Product action in ARShades Studio allows you to manually add products from the ARShades 3D Assets Library into a catalogue. This process is used when you want to select specific products and variants, rather than importing them in bulk.
What This Feature Does
By adding a product manually from the ARShades Library, you:
- Select the exact product model and variants to include in a catalogue.
- Ensure only approved products are visible in your published experiences.
- Keep full control over which SKUs contribute to your subscription tier limits.
How to Add a Product Manually
1. Access the ARShades 3D Assets Library
- Go to the My Catalogues section.
- Open the catalogue where you want to add a product.
- From the catalogue view, click Add Product to open the ARShades 3D Assets Library.
2. Search and Filter Products
Use the Filters panel on the left to refine your search:
- By product name, variant name, or SKU.
- By brand, line, type, gender, size, frame colour, frame shape, or age range.
3. Select Variants
- Find the product you want to add and click the plus (+) icon in the Add to Catalogue column.
- A dialog opens where you can select which variants (SKUs) of that product to add.
- Variants already present in the catalogue are disabled.
4. Choose Catalogue
- Select the Subscription associated with the catalogue.
- Choose the Catalogue where the product should be added.
5. Review and Confirm
- Review the selected variants in the summary screen.
- Confirm your choice by clicking Add to Catalogue.
- A confirmation message appears: “Product Added to Catalogue”.
Result
- The product and its selected variants are now visible in the Asset List of the chosen catalogue.
- Each added SKU contributes to the subscription tier limits.
- Added assets can later be rearranged, paused, or deleted like any other catalogue asset.
Best Practice
- Use the filters to quickly find products by brand or frame characteristics.
- Always double-check selected variants to avoid duplicates.
- Add products one at a time for precise catalogue control, especially for curated or campaign-specific catalogues.
