Rearrange Products in Asset List

The Rearrange Products action in ARShades Studio allows you to control the display order of products and their variants within a catalogue. This ensures catalogues appear in a logical sequence that matches brand guidelines, seasonal campaigns, or merchandising strategies.

Rearranging does not affect product data or subscription usage but simply changes how products are presented to end users. The order you set here is automatically reflected in Web Catalogues and VTO Apps, while the order of variants is applied to VTO and 3D AR multi-product layouts.

How to Rearrange Products

  1. Go to the My Catalogues section and open the catalogue you want to manage.
  2. Click the Assets List button on the catalogue card.
  3. At the top-right of the Asset List view, click Rearrange by Priority.
  4. The list switches to rearrangement mode, allowing you to:
    • Drag and drop products to reorder them.
    • Adjust the Priority field manually by entering a numeric value. Lower numbers correspond to higher positions.

Important: The order of products in the Asset List directly defines:

  • Which products appear first in Web Catalogues.
  • Which products are prioritised as the first entries inside VTO Apps.

If you want specific products to appear at the top, you must adjust their order in the catalogue.

Rearranging Variants

  • Expand a product row in the Asset List to reveal its variants.
  • Click Rearrange Variants by Priority to order the variants of that product.
  • As with products, you can drag and drop or assign priority numbers.

Important: The order of variants defines how they appear:

  • In the colour/variant selector inside VTO.
  • In the sequence of models inside 3D AR multi-product viewers.

If you want a specific colour variant to appear first, or to control the entire sequence of variants shown to users, you must reorder them in the catalogue.

Result

  • The new order is applied immediately in the catalogue preview.
  • Published catalogues automatically reflect the updated arrangement.
  • VTO and 3D AR experiences respect the chosen order for both products and variants.

Best Practice

  • Place best-selling or featured products at the top of the list for greater visibility.
  • Group products logically (e.g., by brand or collection) to help users navigate catalogues easily.
  • Order variants strategically if you want to highlight a colour or manage how users explore multi-variant products.
  • Regularly review product and variant order to ensure it reflects current campaigns or seasonal updates.
