Publish a Catalogue

The Publish a Catalogue function in ARShades Studio makes a catalogue created in draft mode available to end users through its dedicated subdomain and ARShades links. Publishing ensures that the catalogue is visible and accessible on websites, apps, the web, and in other ARShades solutions. It guarantees that only reviewed and validated catalogues become publicly available, giving you full control over timing and a clear separation between work-in-progress drafts and catalogues ready for customer use.

How to Publish

  1. Go to the My Catalogues section from the left-hand navigation menu.
  2. Select the Drafts tab.
  3. Locate the catalogue you want to publish and open the contextual menu (hamburger icon) on the catalogue card.
  4. Click Publish Draft.
  5. A confirmation modal appears asking you to confirm the action.
  6. Once confirmed, the catalogue is moved to the Published tab and assigned its subdomain.

Confirmation Modal

The publication action requires user confirmation:

  • Message: “Are you sure you want to publish this catalogue?”
  • Options: Cancel or Confirm.

What Happens After Publishing

  • The catalogue becomes accessible at its assigned subdomain (e.g., brand.arshades.com).
  • ARShades links are automatically generated for embedding in e-commerce sites, apps, or campaigns.
  • Products and variants included in the catalogue are visible according to their visibility settings.
  • The catalogue card moves from the Drafts tab to the Published tab.

Important: When a catalogue is first created, it does not yet contain any 3D assets. To make the catalogue meaningful and usable, you must add and organise 3D assets within it. The process of adding and managing assets is explained in dedicated sections of this guide.

Updating a Published Catalogue

  • Published catalogues can be modified by selecting Modify Catalogue from the contextual menu.
  • Changes can be saved and immediately reflected in the live version.
  • If you want to temporarily remove the catalogue from public access without deleting it, use Unpublish Catalogue.
