Modify a Catalogue
The Modify a Catalogue action in ARShades Studio allows users to edit an existing catalogue using the same guided wizard available when creating a new catalogue. This ensures catalogues can be updated over time while preserving a clear separation between published content and work-in-progress drafts. By modifying a catalogue, you can keep catalogues aligned with branding, update SEO metadata, adjust layout, or test changes safely before publishing them to end users.
How to Access Modification
- Go to the My Catalogues section from the left-hand navigation menu.
- Locate the catalogue you want to modify (in either the Published or Drafts tab).
- Open the contextual menu (hamburger icon) on the catalogue card.
- Select Modify Catalogue.
Editing with the Wizard
- When modifying a catalogue, the same multi-step wizard used in catalogue creation is opened (Customisation, Banner, SEO, Review).
- All previously saved values are pre-filled, and you can adjust colours, banners, SEO data, and other settings.
- Use the preview to check changes in real time on desktop and mobile views.
Draft Versions During Modification
When editing a published catalogue, ARShades Studio creates a Draft version of it:
- This draft holds all pending changes without affecting the live catalogue.
- You can save progress at any time and return later.
- The system alerts you if a draft already exists for that catalogue. You can then:
- Continue with Modifications: Resume editing the existing draft.
- Create New Version: Start a fresh draft, discarding previous changes.
What You Can Do with a Draft Version
Once a draft version is created, you have several options:
- Save Draft: Keep your changes for later editing.
- Publish Changes: Apply the draft modifications to the live catalogue.
- Delete Draft: Permanently discard the draft without affecting the published catalogue.
