Layout and Content
Last Updated: 14/09/2026
Two sections of the editor work on the same page from different angles. Options control how the page is laid out; Content holds the texts written on it.
Options
The options available depend on the template you chose, and are grouped by the part of the page they affect:
| Group | Controls |
|---|---|
| Page | Overall page settings: spacing, background treatment, corner radii. |
| Header | The top of the page: cover height, position of logo and name, header behaviour. |
| Filters | Whether visitors can filter the collection, and by what. |
| Grid | How products are arranged: columns, density, spacing. |
| Card | The single product card: what it shows, how it is shaped. |
| Explorer | The VTO Explorer island — whether the whole collection can be tried on in one continuous session. |
Desktop and Mobile
Some options can hold a different value on mobile. For those, the editor always tells you which of three states you are in:
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Factory | The value comes from the template. You have not changed it. |
| Inherited from desktop | You changed the desktop value; mobile follows it. |
| Mobile override | You set a value for mobile only; desktop keeps its own. |
Switch the header to mobile to edit the mobile side. An option with no mobile state behaves the same on every screen.
Tips:
- Start from the desktop layout and let mobile inherit. Add overrides only where the inherited result does not work — every override is one more thing to maintain.
- The reset arrow next to an option returns it to the template's factory value.
Content
The Content section holds the free texts of the active template: button labels, eyebrows, headings, short descriptions. Which fields appear depends on the template — each one exposes the texts it actually renders.
An empty field means "use the template's default text", not "no text". If you want a label to disappear, that is an option in the layout, not an empty content field.
Tips:
- Write for the width you are targeting: a call-to-action label that fits on desktop may wrap awkwardly on a phone. The preview shows it.
- Leave a field empty rather than retyping the default: if the default ever changes, the page follows it.
